Canada Day Wedding at The Cornerstone, Edmonton, AB.

On a warm summer day, the air filled with joy and anticipation as we gathered at The Cornerstone to celebrate the marriage of Samantha & Stefan.
As the getting ready preparation was underway in the classy bridal sweet (which is lovely to photograph in), Samantha was surrounded with all of her girls…meanwhile Stefan was chilling with the boys downstairs and their friends and staff at The Cornerstone were buzzing around, preparing the reception area.
We captured an emotional first look with Samantha and her girls…and a lovely first look with her and dad at the estate house.
A melody of laughter and emotion filled the air, guiding the guests from near and far-from Taber to Germany and beyond-toward the elegant yet rustic ceremony space surrounded with lush greenery and pops of colour from fragrant flowers around the rich tones of the wonderfully handmade wooden gazebo.
The atmosphere was so clearly abundant with love and laughter from their nearest and dearest and it made our hearts smile.
There’s something really special about the anticipation of walking down the aisle, arms linked with your dad, mum or someone special to you…then THE walk, surrounded by your family and friends, a mixture of nervousness and eager anticipation and pure joy when you first set eyes on your partner. THE last time before you are wed! It’s unbeatable!
As their loved ones gathered together for the ceremony, where the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, their voices filled with love and promises for a lifetime of happiness. A word from a special friend and officiated by Stefan’s mother helped give their day a lovely personal touch.
Laughter and tears of joy echoed through the air as the newlyweds sealed their promises with a kiss.
After the ceremony, family and friends gathered for some formal and not-so-formal photos prior to us whisking the bride & groom and their wedding party away for some photos.
The grounds at The Cornerstone are beautifully curated and maintained by the lovely team who own and run it and are fantastic to work with-we definitely recommend booking this venue for your wedding from beginning to end-it’s wonderful!
We, at Peak and Prairie Photography always like to keep it light & fun and just want you guys to be your beautiful selves more than anything…be as little or a lot weird as you’d like to be-it’s your wedding day and we are HERE for it all so have a blast with your wedding party!

From entrances to first dances and speeches to party time-we like to make sure that we capture all of the key elements of your wedding day as well as any special little detail from gifts given to one another, inclusion of elements from your life (we love to see your personality come through) from inside jokes to showing your appreciation for your loved ones who are no longer with us…to traditions with your family and friends, so let’s talk!
We like to make sure to give enough time for family, wedding party as well as bride & groom photos but we don’t like to take you away from your guests for too long so, depending on the structure of your day and how long you’ve got us for-we’ll likely break it up and steal you away for some golden hour photos like we did with Samantha & Stefan!
The celebration continued, with champagne toasts, a delicious meal, and an evening of dancing and fun with their nearest and dearest, with a brief torrential downpour (and a little bit of hail). The Cornerstone provided the perfect setting for this wonderful celebration of love, creating memories that will be held close to heart for a lifetime to come.
