A splendid warm September wedding in Calmar, AB.

Courtney & Tyler

Courtney & Tyler are such a fun couple-they’re a ball, especially when they’re surrounded by their friends and family!

We started our day at Courtney’s mom’s fantastic hair salon, where Tyler’s mom made six inches of material for one of the groomsmen’s pants appear as if from nowhere (it was legitimately amazing), then Alex went on to join the guys at Courtney’s parents’ house, where the girls and I joined later for a hilarious mock first look with the best man that was hilarious, then the real deal with the beautiful bride (that one was emotional)!

This crowd was so chill and laid back and just ready for a good time-my cheeks hurt from laughing so much-it was awesome!

We went on a little detour to track down the rings (they were found safe and sound), then made our way to Tyler’s parents house where we did the family formals, wedding party photos and even popped some champagne before taking some photos of the bride and groom. It was sweet and fun and such a gorgeous end-of-summer wedding-we honestly could not have asked for better!

We then made our way to the hall, where the ceremony and reception took place. There were people buzzing around everywhere, hard at work to make things run smoothly-Courtney & Tyler’s friends and family were all doing different things to make their BIG day come together from decorating to assembling to cooking the food-every little detail was theirs and everybody was involved…it does take a village after all. It had such a great feel!

Tyler surprised his lovely Grandma by asking her to walk him down the aisle just before the ceremony, which was a moment that was so dang sweet!

The Ceremony was short but sweet, enveloped by an amazing energy from all, followed by a great home-cooked meal (hog roast) which was shared with their nearest and dearest!

After dinner, we hopped on a party bus and cruised the countryside while the wedding party let loose with the odd pit stop here and there!

When we arrived back at the venue-it was entrances and reception time, followed by speeches that were both funny and heartfelt.

Then we stole the bride & groom away for a bit at golden hour on a dirt road. It was kind of magical (no big deal), then the dances and evening shenanigans commenced…it was game time! Fun was HAD!

Courtney & Tyler,

Thank you so much for choosing us to capture your engagement and allowing us to capture your wedding day!

We’re so glad that you swiped left and hit it off…you hit it right outta the park!

We wish you a lifetime filled with laughter and love and little Skeeters.

-Peggy & Alex
